What an amazing makerspace team we had for the CA STEM Symposium in Anaheim in late October! Folks from MakerEd, Autodesk, KQED, Sonoma COE, and the Maker Certificate Program created a makerspace at the Symposium for participants to engage with circuit stickers and conductive ink, laser cutting, 3D printing and design, soldering, and programming. There was also a maker stage with mini-talks on topics such as:
- Advice for creating a makerspace
- How to be a STEAMY K-8 admin
- Beyond the Hour of Code
- Bright Lights, Big STEM circuitry
- How to assess making
- Building Buy-in: Making Maker Educators out of Colleagues and Parents
